It takes just under two hours to get to this picturesque village and sandy beach, which is populated with celebrities including several members of the Freud family.

So there something for everyone, whether you want to feel the sand between your toes, or would rather enjoy a splendid stately home.
You do have to pay to park your car but it a fantastic walk out to the sea and along the sands to Wells, and a great way to let your canine companion let off some steam.

This seaside town, around an hour and 45 minutes from Cambridge, features a harbour with small fishing boats and is a great spot for fishing for crabs.
