This unassuming looking handbag is expected to fetch a staggering 30,000 when it goes under the hammer.
The Herms Endless Road Birkin HAC is set to fetch more than the price of a family car and become one of Britain most expensive bags when it is sold by auctioneers on Monday.
The second hand bag is considered so rare because it features a colourful Pop Art design scarcely seen on other designs by the luxury French manufacturer.
Named after the actor and singer Jane Birkin, they are notoriously exclusive fashion accessories that are hugely popular with celebrities such as Victoria Beckham.
Birmingham based Fellows Auctioneers have set an estimate of between 22,000 and 28,000 on the designer item but it is expected to fetch much more.

Sophie Higgs, designer collection specialist at the auctioneers, said: “The Endless Road Herms Birkin HAC is one of most interesting handbags we have ever had up for auction.
“The Endless Road design is extremely rare. It was only retailed by Herms for a limited time and is no longer part of the current collection.
“The only way to purchase one of these handbags is through the secondary market.
“Given its scarcity, it will be sought after in our June Designer Collection auction.”

The bag is from an “extensive private collection” but has never been used since the UK based seller acquired it from a family member.
Its Endless Road motif was inspired by Pop Art paintings and depicts a seemingly endless road, winding through a Californian landscape.
The 2018 leather collections used the Endless Road design on several pieces but the Birkin HAC was the only piece to display the whole landscape.
