A dramatic video shows plumes of thick smoke billowing over Haverhill, after a barn fire yesterday (Friday, June 4).
A total of 16 fire engines and special appliances were called to the scene on Haverhill Road, Little Wratting.
Firefighters were first called to the scene at just after 4.30pm after receiving “multiple” calls from people in the area.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames and thick plumes of smoke rising from the structure.

Crews from Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds were among those at the incident, with the emergency service response drawing on fire service resources from across the region.
The fire was out at 9.38pm and nobody is understood to have been injured.
A video from the scene, taken by Tyler Bell, shows the plumes of thick smoke rising from the barn and the extent of the damage.
Thankfully, fire crews were able to bring the fire under control and ensure the flames did not spread to surrounding buildings.
There are no reports of injuries from the fire, and police were not called to assist at the scene.

Service said: “Fire control received multiple calls to a barn on fire. 2 appliances were mobilised and on arrival found large amounts of smoke from the direction of the incident.
An update on the Suffolk Fire and Rescue incident map says: “We mobilised the following fire appliances: 2 from Cambridge, 1 from Woodbridge, 1 from Stowmarket, 1 from Hadleigh, 1 from Nayland, 2 from Sudbury, 1 from Long Melford, 1 from Clare, 3 from Haverhill, 1 from Wickhambrook, 1 from Bury St Edmunds, 1 from Elmswell, 2 from Ixworth, 1 from Brandon, 1 from Mildenhall, 3 from Newmarket
“The cause of the fire is to be determined by fire investigation.”
