Football fans will be able to congregate to watch England’s Euro 2020 games on a big screen at a street party in Peterborough.
The first ‘Euro 20 Street Party’ will be held at Peterborough Stadium (the former Greyhound Stadium) in Fengate on June 22, when England plays the Czech Republic in their third and final group game.
Though Gareth Southgate’s side face Croatia and Scotland in their first two matches of the tournament, on June 13 and 18 respectively, the match against the Czech Republic will be their first after June 21, when all lockdown restrictions are hoped to come to an end.
Provided that England enters step four of the roadmap out of lockdown on time and that the national team proceed beyond the group stage, all of the Three Lions’ further games in the tournament will be shown on the big screen,
Additionally, a number of special events will also be on offer.

The event is organised by the same team who have hosted street parties in Peterborough for England games over the past decade, though Peterborough Stadium is a new venue.
During the 2018 World Cup, which saw England reach the semi finals, the Peterborough parties were held at the XL Arena, found behind the former Solstice Pub in the city centre.
This year, provided that Covid restrictions are eased on time, fans will be able to gather to cheer on the highly rated England side from Peterborough.
Tickets are on sale from midday on May 3 and will cost 5 plus a booking fee.
If the event is cancelled, the organisers will issue a full refund within seven days of the cancellation.
