Fortunately, cases remain low in most parts of the county particularly compared to the highs seen at the beginning of this year.
But there are some signs that cases could be on the rise once again, with some scientists warning the UK could be entering a third wave of Covid 19 infections.

of Cambridge academic Professor Ravi Gupta said there has been an “exponential growth” in the number of cases, fuelled by the more transmissible Indian variant.
And while the “explosive” impact of this variant has been, at least to some extent, masked by high vaccination rates, Prof Gupta said ministers should consider pushing back their target of scrapping all Covid measures on June 21 “by a few weeks”.
Cases in Fenland remain stable and infections are even continuing to fall in Peterborough and East Cambridgeshire but sadly, this trend is not replicated in other parts of the county.

According to the latest figures, cases are on the rise overall in the remaining three Cambridgeshire districts: Huntingdonshire, South Cambridgeshire and Cambridge.
These districts are divided into smaller geographical areas, known as Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs).
Most MSOAs across the county have very low infection rates, but some have seen cases surge by more than 100 percent over the last seven days.
It worth noting that in many cases infections are increasing from a very low floor but nonetheless, it a worrying trend.
Here are all the Cambridgeshire neighbourhoods where infection rates have more than doubled in the seven days for which the most recent data is available.
The below data is for the seven days to May 29.
